Every cookie your site sets.
Found. Classified. Declared.
The Clickio Cookie Scanner opens your pages in a real browser, collects every cookie and storage key, and matches each one to the vendor behind it, so your consent dialog declares exactly what your site actually does.
Trusted by 2,000+clients worldwide
The cookies you don't declare are the ones that matter
Your site changes every week: new tags, new embeds, new partners. Your cookie disclosure usually doesn't.
Invisible drift
Every new script, plugin or ad partner can set cookies you've never heard of. Without scanning, nobody on your team knows the full list.
Compliance gap
GDPR and other privacy laws require you to disclose what you set and who sets it. Undeclared cookies are among the first things an auditor checks.
Manual audits don't scale
Hiring an auditor or combing through DevTools gives you a snapshot that's stale within a month. Compliance needs a repeatable check, not a one-off project.
Scan. Review. Fix.
Run it from the Clickio Platform, where your site URL is already filled in.
Scan
The scanner opens your pages in a real browser, accepts the consent prompt like a visitor would, and collects every cookie, localStorage and sessionStorage key. It can auto-discover additional pages from your sitemap and internal links, and you can add specific URLs, with progress shown live, per page.
Review
Every detected item is matched against Clickio's cookie catalog (built on the Open Cookie Database and TCF vendor disclosures) and classified automatically: a TCF vendor, another (non-IAB) vendor, or your site's own first-party cookie.
Fix
Vendors that are missing from your vendor lists can be added straight from the scan results, in one click. Unknown cookies can be classified manually: pick a vendor from the searchable catalog, or create your own.
Your own cookies, under control too
First-party cookies (logins, preferences, carts) need disclosure just like vendor cookies. The scanner finds them, and a dedicated Site Cookies tab in the Platform lets you maintain them properly.
- Each cookie gets a required category: Functional, Analytics, Marketing, Security or Personalization
- Categories tie your cookies to consent purposes, so they're blocked correctly when a visitor declines
- Descriptions appear in your consent dialog and your embedded cookie list, in every language your consent runs in
- Complete disclosure in the dialog. Visitors see a Cookie List tab in Manage Options, split into Our Cookies and Partners Cookies, with per-vendor cookie tables, in both TCF and non-TCF modes.
- Readable in every language. Cookie descriptions are localized into every consent language you've enabled: disclosure your visitors can actually read, not English-only boilerplate.
- Disclosure that stays current. Re-scan any time to check that everything your site sets is still declared, and keep the scan history as your record.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly does the scanner detect?
Everything a real visit to your site stores in the browser: cookies (first- and third-party), localStorage keys and sessionStorage keys. The scanner loads your pages in a real browser and accepts the consent prompt first, so it sees what runs after consent: the complete picture, not just the pre-consent state.
Do I need any technical setup to run a scan?
No. The scanner runs from the Consent section of the Clickio Platform, with your site URL pre-filled. Pick how many pages to cover (it can discover them automatically from your sitemap and internal links, or you can add URLs manually) and start the scan. Progress is shown live.
How are detected cookies classified?
Each item is matched against Clickio's cookie catalog, which combines the Open Cookie Database with the cookie disclosures TCF vendors publish. It's then attributed to a TCF vendor, another (non-IAB) vendor, or identified as your site's own first-party cookie.
What happens with cookies the scanner can't identify?
They're listed as unclassified, and you can resolve them in a click: assign them to a vendor from the searchable catalog, create a new vendor for them, or mark them as your own cookies with the right category. Nothing stays unaccounted for.
Do my visitors see the scan results?
Visitors see the outcome: a complete Cookie List inside the consent dialog's Manage Options, split into your cookies and your partners' cookies, with descriptions localized into every consent language you've enabled. The scan reports themselves are only visible to you in the Platform.
How often can I scan, and what does it cost?
Scanning is on every plan, and the limits grow with the plan: 2 scans a month of up to 20 pages on Free, 5 scans a month of up to 100 pages on Starter, unlimited scans of up to 1,000 pages on Pro and Pro+, and up to 5,000 pages per scan on Enterprise. See the plan comparison. Re-scanning regularly is the point: it keeps your disclosure current.
